Key Responsibilities

  • Lead consulting engagements in the provider segment, bringing healthcare expertise to Cognizant's clients
  • Manage end-to-end responsibilities for management consulting engagements in areas of control
  • Ensure the business viability of complex solutions for Cognizant in key accounts for our Health Sciences practice
  • Continuously assess the business for profitability and initiate remedial interventions where needed
  • Formalize best-in-class practices, pursue the development of consulting thought leadership, and participate in industry forums and conferences to establish and enhance Cognizant's brand
  • Exercise financial accountability and responsibility for revenues and margin growth in practice area
  • Ensure appropriate pricing for consultants across engagements and promotes the education of project teams on consultative value
  • Establish and nurture relationships with client executives in assigned accounts and serves as their trusted advisor
  • Build or facilitate the route to market of innovative practice solutions
  • Actively build the consulting practice community by driving consensus about and standardization on best practices
  • Manage and mentor a team of direct reports and the overarching recruitment, onboarding, development, and engagement of consultants
  • Author thought leadership insights on behalf of the practice and advocates within Cognizant for the recognition of Consulting's contribution to Cognizant's profitability and market brand

Requirements

  • 15+ years of executive-level business or operations management experience, including the application of different pricing models, risk management interventions, and resource allocation strategies; at least 10 of which are management consulting experience (business or technology)
  • Extensive domain knowledge and experience in Healthcare (provider) including government programs (e.g., Medicare Advantage, managed Medicaid, etc.)
  • Experience in managing operations and growing key account business satisfaction, including budget forecasts, and consultant staffing and development
  • Strong network of industry connections and presence in professional organizations and industry forums
  • Experience in building results-oriented, high-performing consulting teams or organizations recognized for excellence
  • An educational background to support the above; Bachelor's degree required; MBA Preferred
  • Personal leadership and a desire to create a culture that enables exceptional outcomes; the embodiment of Cognizant's Core Values of: Start with a point of view; Seek data, build knowledge; Always strive, never settle; Work as one; Create conditions for everyone to thrive; Do the right thing, the right way.
