Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Scientist/Geologist to join our team at Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. in our Johnson City office. As a key member of our environmental team, you will be responsible for conducting environmental compliance, site investigations, and remedial action assessments and implementation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct field activities, including sampling, monitoring, and data collection
  • Assist with reporting activities, including data analysis and interpretation
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of accepted engineering design, scientific principles, and regulatory programs
  • Participate in field work and assist with project coordination
  • Provide input and assistance in investigating new techniques and methods to increase efficiency and incorporate cutting-edge applications
Requirements
  • 0-5 years of professional experience in environmental science or geology
  • BS Degree in Environmental Science or Geology (preferred), or related field
  • Valid driver's license
  • Basic technical competency and demonstrated skills in engineering/scientific judgment, mathematical applications, and verbal/written communications
  • Ability to work effectively with team members and independently
  • Ability to travel overnight and extended hours
  • Self-motivated with good organizational skills
  • Ability to participate in field work and basic competency with hand tools and power equipment
  • Core competency in Microsoft Office
  • As required by discipline, take training courses/secure certifications in various specialized areas
