Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with dedicated suppliers, ensuring effective category management and strategic alignment.
  • Support market analysis and implement category strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Define and implement profitable purchasing strategies, negotiate prices, and manage contracts with suppliers.
  • Monitor the supply market, optimize the supplier portfolio, and ensure quality, cost efficiency, on-time delivery, sustainability, and compliance with terms of contracts and legal regulations.
  • Coordinate and steer assigned categories, including purchase price planning and defining savings projects.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry indexes, such as LME, AMM, and Platts, to inform procurement decisions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of aluminum die casting procurement experience.
  • Strong negotiation, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform cost analysis and develop a commodity strategy to mitigate short- or long-term risk.
  • Excellent personal computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Office suites.
  • Blueprint comprehension and self-motivation.
  • Ability to prioritize, make decisions, and provide logical proposals.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering-related field.
  • Material requirements planning experience.
  • SAP and Supply-On experience.

  • Hiring Bonus: $500 after 90 days, $1000 after 180 days.
