Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Conceptual Design Engineer II to join our Space Systems Development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative design concepts for our space systems. Your expertise will play a critical role in shaping the future of space exploration and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement design concepts for space systems, including spacecraft, launch vehicles, and ground support equipment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate design concepts with system requirements and performance specifications.
  • Utilize advanced design tools and software, such as Rhino3D and Enscape3D, to create detailed design models and simulations.
  • Translate design concepts into detailed CAD models and documentation.
  • Participate in design reviews and presentations to communicate design concepts and progress to stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Graphic Design, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in conceptual design or a similar role.
  • Proficient in Rhino3D, Enscape3D, and other design tools.
  • Strong ability to translate design concepts into detailed CAD models and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Architecture, Graphic Design, Mechanical Design, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience focused on conceptual design development.
  • Expertise in software tools such as Rhino3D, Enscape3D, and CREO.
  • Familiarity with documentation version control tools, preferably WindChill.
  • Experience with collaboration tools such as Confluence and JIRA.
Compensation and Benefits

Blue Origin offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $82,335.00-$115,269.00, depending on location. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability, 401(k) with a company match of up to 5%, and an Education Support Program.
