Position Summary:

The Plant Manager oversees all facets of Manufacturing, Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S), Quality Assurance, Schedule Compliance, and Employee Welfare at the Hazleton and Mountain Top facilities. This role is crucial in supporting the Annual Operating Plan and involves collaboration with local leadership and corporate teams to define operational strategies, budgets, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Collaborate with commercial and R&D teams to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Lead and empower the plant management team to work cohesively.
  • Communicate the business vision effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Manage the annual operating plan and resource allocation to meet production targets.
  • Ensure compliance with safety programs to achieve a world-class safety record.
  • Direct capital programs to align with strategic operational goals.
  • Adhere to all regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize the Pactiv Evergreen Production System (PEPS) for operational management.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5-10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing, preferably in a respected consumer packaging organization.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong financial acumen and experience in implementing operational strategies that enhance profitability.
  • Experience working with a unionized workforce.
  • High-energy individual with creative problem-solving abilities and strong analytical skills.
  • Proven track record in talent acquisition and employee development.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and strategically.
