Job Summary:
FMHC Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Internal Auditor to join our team. As a Senior Internal Auditor, you will be responsible for evaluating and reporting on the effectiveness of internal controls, as well as overall conformance with corporate and regulatory policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform and lead audits by following or designing specific audit procedures, gathering and analyzing related evidential data, forming an objective opinion and offering recommendations;
Prepare formal written reports regarding the effectiveness of internal controls and compliance with prescribed policies and procedures and regulatory rules;
Provide assistance with external, year-end audit and periodic regulatory examinations, as well as periodic special projects and presentations to management;
Perform and lead the risk assessments for the department and help managers understand the risk assessments in their departments;
Stay current with changes in regulations, new audit techniques, and changes in related promulgations;
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required;
Master's degree is preferred;
3 to 7 years of experience in Audit is required;
Experience in banking laws, regulations, and guidelines is preferred;
Proficiency in MS Office or similar software is required;
Working Conditions:
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. This position is performed in an office setting, five days a week with typical work hours being 8.30a through 5.15p.
