About the Role

New York Pilates is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Studio Manager to join our team. As a key member of our studio operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day operations of our studio.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing finances, driving revenue, and leading a team of staff. You will be responsible for supporting the Studio Manager in executing the overall vision for the studio, and will be equally responsible for reaching sales and profit goals.

This is a full-time position that will include nights, weekends, and holidays. The responsibilities and duties of this position are representative of those an employee must perform, and may be subject to change.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, develop, and motivate a team of brand advocates to deliver a consistent best-in-class student experience.
  • Coach and develop staff to exceed individual and store productivity goals.
  • Support the Studio Manager in managing and leading the Instructor staff cohort, driving talent development and performance.
  • Partner with the Store Manager to maximize profitability by ensuring customer engagement, merchandising, operations, and community connection are consistent and in compliance with company standards.
  • Own studio brand maintenance, including equipment management and maintenance, facility vendor repair and maintenance.
  • Model resilience and adaptability through leadership to contribute to a healthy company culture.
  • Promote excellence in customer service by modeling brand-specific service standards, monitoring and responding to student feedback, and ensuring the team is engaging with each student to create an authentic brand experience.
  • Supervise floor coverage and activities, including opening and closing the store as scheduled.
  • In partnership with the Studio Manager, provide training and ongoing development of store staff in student engagement and company programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Foster an environment of development and accountability.
  • Support the Studio Manager in achieving all financial and operational objectives.
  • Assist Studio Manager in the selection and hiring of qualified candidates.
  • Partner with the Studio Manager on the implementation of visual merchandising directives and maintain standards consistent with company brand strategies.
  • Partner with the Studio Manager to ensure compliance and adherence to loss prevention and safety policies and procedures, standards, and practices, and company directives.
  • Model behavior that respects the background, experience, and cultural differences of others, while upholding the integrity and values of the NYP brand.
  • Promote an environment that encourages participation, creativity, and learning by sharing best practices and building on the ideas of others.

  • Competitive Compensation: We take into account global averages per skillset, local cost of living, skills, and experience when calculating compensation. This role will be at a base salary of $62,400 to $70,000.
