We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at KMA Consulting Engineers, Inc. in Cherry Hill, NJ.
Key Responsibilities:- Obtain geotechnical data and provide oversight of drilling and other geotechnical investigation/data gathering programs.
- Develop and apply knowledge of project-area geology and develop geotechnical engineering properties.
- Review geotechnical laboratory data for conformance with applicable testing standards.
- Prepare and complete geotechnical engineering analyses and designs.
- Work closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
- Help check work of project team members including subconsultants.
- Perform construction observation of earthwork, foundation installation, wall construction, and pavement construction.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university/program.
- Familiarity with CADD software platforms: Bentley MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Familiarity with AASHTO LRFD design methodology and DOT design requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Master of Science in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical or Geology focus).
- Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification and/or Professional Engineer (PE) License.
- Proficiency with geotechnical software (e.g. APile, LPile, GRLWEAP, DeepEX, GROUP, SHAFT).
