MANAGER OF CREDIT RISK REPORTING AND TRANSFORMATION
WHAT IS THE ROLE?
The Manager of Credit Risk Reporting and Transformation is tasked with overseeing the Second Line of Defense Credit Risk Reporting for City National Bank (the "Bank"). This position will also engage in strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing Credit Risk Reporting, transitioning it into a more streamlined and automated process. The individual in this role will be the primary point of contact for Executive Decks, Regulatory Decks, and Board Presentations led by the Chief Credit Officer and Senior Credit Risk Team Members. Initial focus areas for Strategic Transformation Projects will include the development and refinement of credit-related reporting, encompassing regular reports for senior management, the CNB Board, IHC, and CUSO, in addition to fulfilling regulatory requests. This role will report to the Manager of Credit Transformation and Portfolio Management and will collaborate closely with key stakeholders such as First Line of Defense Credit Products, Second Line of Defense Credit Risk, Enterprise Risk Management, Regulatory Relations, and 2LOD Financial Risk Analytics. Furthermore, the role will involve project management and execution of CNB Credit-related transformation initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the department's strategic efforts to enhance and innovate Credit reporting.
- Facilitate collaboration across departments and legal entities to ensure the effective implementation of CNB's regulatory and management credit reporting strategies.
- Work alongside departmental colleagues to execute process improvements and minimize manual production efforts.
- Oversee CNB regulatory reporting change requests related to Credit Risk reporting for Management, the CNB Board, CUSO, and other regulatory presentations.
- Manage the resolution of internal audit and second line of defense findings associated with automation initiatives.
- Conduct production reviews and control assessments as necessary.
- Provide project management and execution support for various CNB Credit transformation efforts.
- Analyze credit data to generate trend analyses and risk assessments for board and regulatory reports.
- Deliver presentations of data and risk assessments to management committees and regulatory bodies.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 10 years in credit, risk, and reporting.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience within the banking or financial services sector.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Proven ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong project management capabilities.
- In-depth knowledge of Credit Risk.
- Excellent managerial skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
- Experience in managing and developing team members.
- Ability to conduct thorough analyses and act with urgency and purpose when addressing challenges.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with proficiency in PowerPoint and reporting.
- Self-driven with a keen attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Proactive and continuously seeking opportunities for improvement.
COMPENSATION:
Starting base salary: $122,535 - $208,715 per year. Compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This position is eligible for bonuses and/or commissions.
