Credit Risk Manager

As a Credit Risk Manager at MUFG, you will play a critical role in reviewing and managing project finance transactions in the renewable energy, power, natural resource, and infrastructure sectors in North America and Latin America.
Key Responsibilities- Review new transactions and provide credit recommendations
- Evaluate credit proposals and business screening memos and make written credit recommendations to management
- Identify risks and mitigants in prospective transactions and recommend structural enhancements if needed
- Maintain strong dialogue with origination deal teams with a goal of balancing business opportunity with prudent risk taking
- Communicate with other credit units to obtain necessary information to support making a credit decision
- Evaluate credit reviews prepared by portfolio management of existing project finance exposures
- Determine accurate ratings and make recommendations to management
- Monitor lower-rated and problem loans on a more frequent basis and present at regular watchlist meetings
- Share critical account information with various parties throughout the bank
- Engage in special projects including new product and policy reviews
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, policy, and procedural requirements
Requirements:
- 5+ years in the financial sector in a credit or project finance function with a focus on Structured Finance
- Strong analytical, communication, and time-management skills
- In-depth knowledge of credit, financial, and cashflow analysis
- Good familiarity with relevant financial products as well as industry trends within the energy and infrastructure sectors
