Position Overview

The Travel Nurse RN role at Mercyhealth Harvard Care Center is designed for dedicated professionals who are committed to delivering exceptional patient care in a skilled nursing environment.

Certification Requirements
  • Possession of a valid IL Nursing License is mandatory.
  • Current CPR certification is essential.
Job Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care by executing treatments and procedures in accordance with established protocols.
  • Monitor patients closely and report any adverse reactions to medications or treatments.
  • Administer medications as permitted by policy, licensure, and state regulations.
  • Respond promptly and safely to patient requests, communicating significant observations to the RN.
  • Understand and adhere to the patient's care plan, ensuring safe delivery of care within established standards.
  • Contribute to care planning by providing insights to the RN and assisting in the implementation of the care plan under RN supervision.
  • Familiarize yourself with hospital and nursing policies to ensure compliance.
  • Recognize emergency situations and initiate appropriate nursing measures within your scope of practice, seeking assistance as needed.
  • Educate patients on self-care based on the teaching plan and RN guidance.
  • Document all aspects of patient care accurately.
Job Requirements
  • Must hold a current IL Nursing License.
  • CPR certification is required.
  • Full vaccination for COVID-19 and Flu is necessary.
Schedule Information
  • This position entails working one shift per week.
  • Shift hours are from 7 PM to 7:30 AM.
