SUMMARY:

The Warehouse Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in overseeing daily warehouse functions, ensuring the efficient handling of incoming and outgoing shipments in alignment with the objectives of Sunland Logistics Solutions, Inc.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the unloading of incoming shipments, organization of products, and preparation of outgoing shipments to maximize productivity.
  • Guarantee the safe and effective operation of all materials handling equipment.
  • Assist in the development of work schedules.
  • Implement work schedules and allocate job responsibilities for optimal task completion.
  • Maintain product location systems and ensure efficient use of storage space.
  • Support warehouse security measures.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the work environment through effective housekeeping practices.
  • Conduct operations with a strong emphasis on safety.
  • Lead work teams to achieve operational goals.
  • Complete all required documentation and reports accurately and promptly.
  • Maintain inventory integrity and assist with physical inventory counts.
  • Uphold strict sanitation standards as set by Sunland Logistics Solutions, Inc.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY DUTIES:

Assist the Supervisor in carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. This includes training staff, planning, assigning, and directing the work of warehouse personnel.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Experience in warehouse management or a related field.
  • Comprehensive understanding of warehouse operations.
  • Knowledge of safe chemical handling and distribution practices.
  • Ability to perform calculations and interpret technical documents.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Capability to organize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to collaborate within a team environment.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

A college degree or a high school diploma with 1-3 years of experience in a warehouse setting; leadership or management experience is advantageous.

CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Forklift certification or the ability to obtain one.
  • Valid driver's license.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend documents such as protocols, standard operating procedures, and customer orders.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position requires meeting specific physical demands to perform essential job functions. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities. Tasks may involve sitting or standing as necessary, walking on level surfaces, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
