The CT Imaging Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering computed tomography imaging and patient care services at specified levels to individuals while complying with the organization's standards and regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately position patients and select appropriate anatomical and technical parameters
- Implement safety standards and radiation protection measures
- Prepare for and assist the physician during computed tomography procedures
- Administer contrast media and/or medications within the professional scope of practice
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Radiology Technologist program
- Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT) within one year of employment
- CPR-Basic Life Support certification
- Licensure from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA)
