Key Responsibilities:

As the Cost Estimation and Configuration Analyst at Utilimaster, you will collaborate with our Sales, Customer Service Engineering, and Design teams to develop bills of materials for cost estimation during the quoting process, as well as assist in the implementation of Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and system maintenance for production.

Your tasks will include:
- Utilizing configurator data and specifications to create costed bills of materials during the quoting phase.
- Supporting the maintenance of information in the configurator and ERP systems.
- Organizing and storing essential order information in a centralized and accessible location for future reference.
- Engaging with vendors to obtain preliminary pricing and lead times.
- Assisting in the processing of Sales Change Orders (SCOs) and ECNs.
- Creating Item Masters and entering data for Bills of Materials into the system.
- Developing and maintaining Product Structures for the creation of Bills of Materials.
- Reviewing all Sales Order Requests for changes prior to system implementation.
- Evaluating Engineering Change Notices for completeness and their impact on Bills of Materials before system implementation.
- Creating features and options to support Bills of Materials.
- Assisting Materials Management in classifying products as make, buy, or phantom.
- Monitoring product costs and reporting variances during new product development through estimated Bills of Materials.
- Creating and maintaining Vehicle Identification Numbers, Federal tag information, Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR), pre-delivery fees, and base weights.
- Conducting cost analyses to support new product development design reviews.
- Providing training for both new and existing personnel.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Word)
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Familiarity with Configurator Tools (Configure One preferred)
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associates or Technical degree
