About the Role

Phaxis is seeking a highly skilled Fixed Income Supervision Associate to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our Fixed Income Sales & Trading Floor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Fixed Income Sales & Trading Floor: Collaborate with our sales and trading teams to provide exceptional support and ensure seamless execution of trades.
  • Liaise with Internal Teams: Work closely with our Legal, Compliance, Technology, Regulatory Risk, and Operations teams to identify and implement best practices and optimize our operations.
  • Enhance and Streamline Policies/Procedures/Processes: Analyze and refine our policies and procedures to ensure they are efficient, effective, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Strategize with Internal and External Partners: Collaborate with our internal teams and external vendors (e.g., Bloomberg, MarketAxess, Tradeweb) to identify opportunities for process improvements and best practices.
  • Conduct In-Depth Analysis of Trade Data: Review trade data, identify irregularities, outliers, and potential risks, and provide recommendations for mitigation.
  • Collaborate with Traders and Portfolio Managers: Work closely with our traders and portfolio managers to optimize best practices and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure Compliance with Regulatory Requirements: Ensure that all operations are conducted in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Conduct Regular Reviews of Trading Activities: Regularly review trading activities to identify and address potential compliance issues.
Requirements
  • Strong Working Knowledge of MS Word and Excel: Proficiency in MS Word and Excel is essential for this role.
  • Solid Math Skills and Critical Thinking: Strong math skills and critical thinking abilities are required to analyze trade data and identify potential risks.
  • 1-3 Years of Experience in the Financial Industry: Previous experience in the financial industry, preferably in Fixed Income, is highly desirable.
  • College Degree: A college degree is required for this role.
Compensation

The base salary for this role is $75,000-$90,000 depending on experience.
