Rehabilitation Physician Assistant

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are currently seeking a skilled Physician Assistant (PA) with a focus on Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Neurology, or Orthopedics to enhance our dedicated team. This full-time role is ideal for candidates with a solid clinical background, and we also offer training opportunities for those who may be less experienced. This position provides a chance to work in a supportive environment and significantly influence patient care outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties of the Rehabilitation Physician Assistant:
  • Deliver direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, under the guidance of the supervising physician.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to create and execute personalized care plans for patients in inpatient rehabilitation and those with chronic pain, orthopedic, and neurological conditions.
  • Conduct regular patient rounds and follow-up consultations to assess progress and modify treatment strategies as needed.
  • Educate patients and their families regarding medical conditions, treatment alternatives, and self-management techniques.
  • Engage in clinical meetings, case discussions, and quality improvement projects to promote the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

Required:
  • Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Valid PA license in the state of Maryland.
  • Preferred minimum of two years of clinical experience, though not mandatory.
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
  • Dedication to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
