In the Service Engineering Operations (SEO) division, the Technical Field Team plays a crucial role in collaborating with dealership management to optimize vehicle repair capabilities. Position Responsibilities

The Service Engineering Specialist (SES) serves as the primary liaison to dealerships and technicians, providing expert repair guidance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and exceptional customer service skills. Success in this role requires a customer-centric mindset, adaptability in dynamic environments, and innovative problem-solving abilities. Experience in the automotive sector, process improvement, and escalation management is advantageous.

Key Duties Include:
  • Offering repair support for challenging vehicle issues to enhance customer satisfaction and ensure effective repairs.
  • Collaborating with Product Development and Quality teams to identify and resolve product concerns.
  • Assisting Ford and Lincoln dealerships in enhancing their repair capabilities, including technical skills, tools, and diagnostic resources.
  • Contributing to initiatives that improve vehicle diagnosis and repair processes.
  • Creating and publishing technical documentation.
  • Willingness to travel overnight as necessary.
  • Consulting with dealership management to ensure high-quality repair outcomes.
  • Facilitating communication of root cause analyses and recommendations to dealership management.
  • Monitoring and following up on service repair process improvements with dealerships.
  • Providing critical feedback on product quality and repair actions.

Qualifications

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in automotive diagnosis and repair, specifically with Ford/Lincoln.
  • Valid and unrestricted driver's license.
  • Able to travel overnight on a weekly basis.
  • Completion of core FSE Level 1, 2, and achievement of SEO Senior Masters status.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree in automotive-related fields such as Automotive Technology or Engineering.
  • Completion of Ford-specific Automotive Repair Technical Training.
  • Hands-on vehicle repair experience with Ford and/or Lincoln brands.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
