Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team at NorthShore University HealthSystem. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced medical office environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to ensure efficient use of provider time
  • Register new patients in our electronic health record system and verify insurance eligibility
  • Process patient charges and apply insurance coverage to ensure accurate billing
  • Provide general administrative support to the healthcare team, including clinic setup and other office tasks
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
