Residential Care Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Specialist to join our team at Health Care and Rehabilitation Services. As a Residential Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals living with mental health and/or substance use challenges to develop the independent living skills and emotional regulation skills necessary to achieve their treatment goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to clients in developing independent living skills and emotional regulation strategies
- Collaborate with clients, family members, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Assist clients with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation, medication management, and personal care
- Monitor and report client progress to supervisors and other relevant parties
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field preferred
- Experience working with individuals with mental health and/or substance use challenges
- Valid driver's license, car insurance, and reliable transportation
- Positive attitude, compassion, and ability to set appropriate boundaries as a caregiver
