Position Overview

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist's Department of Orthopedic Surgery and Rehabilitation is in search of a dedicated full-time Orthopedic Hand and Upper Extremity Surgeon to become a faculty partner within a well-established and nationally esteemed practice.

Key Details:

  • Location: Winston Salem, North Carolina.
  • Clinical Expertise: The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in managing conditions associated with the hand and shoulder across both inpatient and outpatient environments.
  • Educational Engagement: Participate in the education of orthopedic residents and hand fellows, while also contributing to clinical and laboratory research initiatives.
  • Collaborative Environment: Work alongside a team of 10 hand partners and 3 hand fellows, within a larger faculty of 90, promoting effective referrals and teamwork.
  • On-Call Responsibilities: Participate in hand call duties at a level one trauma center, averaging 4-6 days per month.
  • Support System: Benefit from the assistance of dedicated Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and learners.

Qualifications:

  • Certification: Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Orthopedic Surgery, with specialized fellowship training in hand and upper extremity (wrist to shoulder).
  • Licensure: Must be eligible for a medical license in North Carolina.
