The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking a dedicated full-time faculty member to join an established team specializing in trauma and joint replacement in Winston Salem.

Wake Forest University School of Medicine provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and life insurance; occurrence insurance; a robust retirement plan; educational assistance for dependents; and relocation support.

The selected candidate will engage in both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, with a focus on education and research, including:

  • Ability to manage conditions associated with Orthopaedic trauma and joint replacement.
  • Teaching opportunities for Orthopaedic residents and fellows (trauma and arthroplasty), along with clinical and laboratory research.
  • Call responsibilities aligned with other orthopaedic surgeons, not exceeding 4-6 nights per month for general orthopaedic call at a level one trauma center.
  • Providing patient care in a high-volume trauma and arthroplasty practice in Winston Salem, with potential for additional locations as mutually agreed.
  • Collaboration with 4 trauma faculty and 6 arthroplasty faculty partners within a department of over 90 faculty members.
  • Support from Advanced Practice Providers (APP) and clinical staff.
  • Eligibility for a North Carolina Medical License.
  • Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery, with fellowship training in trauma and arthroplasty.
