Position Overview:
The Branch Chief of the Simulation and Integration Branch is tasked with overseeing and directing the professional, technical, and administrative operations of a highly skilled team comprising engineers and scientists.

Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage the vision and strategic alignment of a technical workforce engaged in customer-funded research and development, systems development, and technical support.
- Develop, plan, and supervise simulation and integration projects and programs, ensuring clear communication of the Branch's objectives.
- Engage in strategic decision-making and coordinate technical efforts both within the Branch and with external stakeholders.

Resource Management:
- Conduct resource planning, prioritization, budgeting, and execution to fulfill Army requirements and deliver transitional technologies and solutions to internal partners, Army Program Managers, Cross Functional Teams, and external clients.

Client Engagement:
- Maintain relationships with existing customers, identify new opportunities, and develop proposals, statements of work, and funding agreements to secure necessary funding for the Branch.

Team Leadership:
- Supervise and manage duty assignments, performance evaluations, training, and team-building initiatives to foster a productive and capable workforce.
- Address employee grievances and initiate disciplinary actions as needed.

Communication and Mentorship:
- Regularly report to and communicate with the Division Chief and Chief Engineer/Scientist to ensure alignment with the Modeling and Simulation Division's mission.
- Provide mentorship to subordinate personnel and identify training needs for the Branch.

Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Specialized experience equivalent to the DB-03 pay band (GS-13/14 level) in the Federal Service is required, including experience in planning and leading teams in complex modeling and simulation projects.
