Substation Design Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Substation Design Team Lead to join our growing team in Columbus, OH. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of substation and transmission line projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of designers and engineers to develop design documents and drawings for substation and transmission line projects.
  • Collaborate with engineers and designers to ensure compliance with company standards and client requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of technical expertise in substation and transmission line design.
  • Provide guidance and support to less-experienced team members.
  • Perform quality control checks and provide feedback to team members.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years' experience in design and/or drafting disciplines with a background in electrical substation or transmission line design.
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in drafting/design preferred; minimum GED Diploma with drafting or electrical design training.
  • Experience working with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
  • Ability to work in a growing, adaptive, and multi-discipline team environment.
  • Ability to work independently with limited direction and oversight.
  • Legally able to work within the United States for any length of time.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluent in English language.
