About the Role:

Kiewit Power Engineers is seeking a highly motivated Substation Engineer to join our growing team in the Power Delivery department in Columbus, OH.

As a key member of our team, you will support a variety of substation, transmission, and distribution projects ranging from 12kV to 500kV in both engineering detailed design and Engineer, Procure, Construct (EPC) projects for clients throughout the country.

As a Substation Engineer, you will provide overall project coordination and engineering oversight on assigned substation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Specification development for the procurement, installation, and testing of substation equipment.
  • Apply engineering application software to complete engineering tasks such as ground grid design, equipment sizing, relay coordination, and electrical studies.
  • Communicate and coordinate project activities with project managers, customer representatives, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
  • At least seven years' experience performing engineering-related duties.
  • Knowledge of engineering standards including NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, and ANSI.
  • Fluent in the English language.
