Substance Abuse Specialist ACTT

Job Summary:
The Substance Abuse Specialist ACTT is a critical role at Southeastern Integrated Care LLC, responsible for providing comprehensive care to individuals struggling with substance abuse. This position requires a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping others overcome addiction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough substance abuse assessments, considering the complex relationship between substance use and mental health.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, incorporating motivational interviewing techniques and cognitive behavioral approaches.
- Facilitate access to 12-step groups and other community resources, promoting a supportive network for beneficiaries.
- Collaborate with fellow service providers to ensure consistent treatment approaches and seamless care coordination.
- Participate in the Person-Centered Planning process, empowering beneficiaries to take control of their recovery.
- Lead group sessions, providing education and support to individuals in various stages of recovery.
- Coordinate placement in short-term or long-term treatment, as needed, and ensure timely access to detox services.
- Represent Southeastern Integrated Care LLC in a professional manner, upholding the company's mission and values.
- Ensure confidentiality and maintain the highest standards of professionalism, adhering to HIPAA guidelines and individual rights to privacy.
Requirements:
- Minimum High School Diploma
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of the population served
- Current certification in CCS, CSI, LCAS, LCAS-A, or CADC (full certification required)
- Valid NC driver's license and personal vehicle insurance coverage
Work Environment:
The Substance Abuse Specialist ACTT will work primarily in the client's home/community or office setting, with occasional exposure to challenging environments. This role requires the ability to adapt to diverse situations, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions.
Physical Demands:
The position demands regular standing, walking, and use of hands to perform various tasks. The employee must be able to lift and move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
