POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Clinical Risk Management Nurse will spearhead the development and execution of quality assurance initiatives and risk oversight.

This role involves continuous monitoring of patient care and associated risks throughout treatment, alongside conducting thorough evaluations and audits of risk management practices within the organization.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
To excel in this position, the individual must effectively fulfill each essential duty, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Oversee performance metrics in critical areas such as clinical excellence, service quality, personnel management, and financial stewardship.
  • Provide education and training to leadership and staff regarding the risk management framework and their roles in its implementation.
  • Guide and support departments in crafting tailored risk management strategies.
  • Gather, assess, and preserve data related to patient incidents, claims, and workers' compensation, along with other risk-associated information.
  • Conduct investigations and analyze underlying causes, patterns, and trends; assist in identifying and executing corrective measures as necessary.
  • Actively engage in or facilitate committees focused on risk management, safety, and quality enhancement.
  • Design and implement the organization's risk management program to align with its mission and strategic objectives while adhering to applicable federal and state regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Perform random audits of patient records.
  • Supervise daily activities of Activity Therapists and Therapist/Case Managers in the absence of the Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

o Preferred experience in geriatric care.

Licensure/Certification/Education:
o Graduate from an accredited nursing program with a Registered Nursing Degree.
o Current RN license in the state of practice.
o CPR Certification.
