Job Description

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory's Mechanical Civil Engineering (MCE) group is seeking a skilled mechanical engineer to oversee the maintenance and improvement of our site's critical systems. As a key member of the Bettis Facilities and Infrastructure department, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and equipment of our site's mechanical utility systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform system evaluations to determine required maintenance and recommend improvements
  • Work closely with operations and stakeholder groups to troubleshoot problems and develop work packages
  • Coordinate and resolve issues with personnel affected by planned work evolutions
  • Design and oversee the maintenance, repairs, and improvements of facility systems
  • Evaluate operational systems and facility infrastructure to improve operational efficiencies
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field; or Master's degree in engineering or a related field
  • Experience working with HVAC systems and/or mechanical building systems
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office
  • Strong interpersonal and teaming skills
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks concurrently
