Logistician Job Description

Bowhead is seeking a skilled Logistician to manage the life cycle of products from design to disposal. The ideal candidate will develop, adjust, and execute logistical plans related to various products, ensuring timely allocation of materials, supplies, and products to meet contract requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the procurement process for Air and Surface Search Radar Systems and Strategic Radars, including monitoring and ordering parts, tracking deadlines, and presenting EDDS reports.
  • Add all parts to the record and work with the team to order parts for future workload.
  • Oversight the procurement specialist to ensure all parts are on record.
  • Conduct part research, contacting companies for inventory and obsolescence information.
  • Develop and implement purchase plans for strategic acquisitions.
  • Monitor and order parts while tracking and presenting EDDS reports.
  • Work directly with engineering on quote efforts and present all parts on record to help with forecasting orders for future years.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Access to various logistics systems, including WEBVLIPS, NAVICP, LMS21, and SharePoint.
  • Excellent organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office software suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
  • An Associate's degree or at least five years of experience in logistics, with additional experience substituting for formal education.
  • Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office software suite.
Physical Demands:
  • Lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Standing and walking for prolonged periods.
  • Twisting, bending, and squatting periodically.
Security Clearance Requirements:

Must be able to obtain a Secret-level security clearance and be a US citizen.
