Job Title: Transmission Training Specialist

Primoris Power Delivery is seeking a highly skilled Transmission Training Specialist to join our dynamic team in the Denton, TX area.

Job Summary:

The Transmission Training Specialist will work closely with Operations, Safety, Human Resources, Customers, sub-contractors, fleet, and other various organizations to ensure clear and precise communication and adherence to all policies, safety rules, and work requirements for this position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to all training content development related to Power Delivery and transmission operational needs.
  • Organize, schedule, and facilitate training for substation employees, New Hire Orientation (NHO), annual or compliance training for existing employees, customer or job-specific training requirements, implementation of new training initiatives, and/or changes to current training processes or procedures.
  • Administer production and distribution of training or classroom handouts, instructional materials, aids, and manuals.
  • Maintain training rosters and/or records for all training classes or learning activities.
Requirements:
  • 8 years minimum in the Transmission Construction and electrical knowledge.
  • Able to work in a team environment and assist where needed across the Power Delivery organization.
  • Willing to travel to multiple locations to facilitate training as needed.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Must be able to operate or possess the ability to learn heavy equipment such as Buckets, Digger Derricks, Back Yard Machines, Forklifts, and Sky lifts.
  • Must meet all requirements for obtaining OSHA 500 certification.
  • Must meet all requirements for obtaining CPR/First Aid/AED certifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including (but not limited to) Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Physical Requirements:
  • Able to lift and carry 75 pounds.
  • Must be able to climb wooden and steel structures or possess the ability to learn.
  • Must be able to work from heights over 4ft while training in the training yard.
  • Able to speak clearly and bi-lingual preferred.
  • Able to walk or work on different types of terrain and/or construction sites.
  • Able to work in all types of weather conditions and loud noises.
Other Requirements:
  • Must be able to lead by example and adhere to the company's safety handbook, policies and procedures, and Code of Conduct.
  • Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Must always wear the appropriate PPE when performing task and on jobsite.
  • Requires a current valid driver's license.
  • Commercial Driver's license preferred.
  • Inspect PPE, equipment, tools on a regular basis to ensure compliance with company requirements and OSHA.
