Nursing Leadership Opportunity in Post Surgical Division

Job DescriptionThe Assistant Nurse Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in the Post Surgical Division. As a member of the leadership team, this individual will be responsible for coordinating administrative management, financial duties, and operational tasks in collaboration with other nursing staff.
This position requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to achieve shared goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Administrative Nursing Supervisor, Nurse Manager, and Assistant Vice President of Specialty Nursing Division to develop and implement policies, programs, and services that align with the hospital's mission and departmental/unit vision and philosophy.
- Mentor professional caregivers in the delivery of patient care, facilitating access, communication, and transitions throughout the acute care stay.
- Provide leadership and guidance to direct patient care provided by specialty nursing unit staff on the assigned primary shift of work, ensuring competent and compassionate care is uniformly delivered to customers.
- Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies, programs, and services consistent with the hospital's mission and departmental/unit vision and philosophy.
To be successful in this role, applicants must possess:
- A valid nursing license and relevant experience in a clinical setting.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions.
