We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Support Specialist to join our team at Santa Cruz City Schools. As a key member of our Special Education department, you will be responsible for providing behavioral support to students with diverse needs.

About the Role: This is a part-time 15-hour per week position based at Bay View Elementary school. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, other support staff, and parents to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized behavioral support plans for students
  • Provide positive behavioral interventions and supports in classrooms and other settings
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement academic and behavioral programs
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to share student progress and develop strategies for supporting students at home

Salary Information: The salary for this position is between $22.42 and $23.00 per hour, making it a competitive offering in the area. With your skills and experience, you will be able to make a real difference in the lives of our students.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need a strong background in behavioral support and special education. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
