Job Summary:
The Town of Pecos City is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead the Pecos Area Chamber of Commerce and CVB. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to promote economic growth, tourism, and community development in the Pecos area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management:
- Oversee the financial operations of the Chamber, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to ensure the Chamber's financial stability and growth.
- Personnel and Office Management:
- Supervise and manage the Chamber's staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective office operations.
- Marketing and Advertising:
- Develop and implement marketing and advertising strategies to promote the Pecos area as a tourist destination and to attract new businesses and investments.
- Manage the Chamber's website, social media, and other digital platforms to promote the Chamber's services and events.
- Member Services and Community Events:
- Develop and implement programs and services to support Chamber members, including networking events, educational seminars, and business support services.
- Plan and execute community events, such as festivals, parades, and other activities that promote the Pecos area and its businesses.
- Strategic Planning and Governance:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the Chamber's mission and goals.
- Work with the Chamber's Board of Directors to ensure effective governance and decision-making.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a management or executive-level position, preferably in a business-related field or other leadership position.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and implement effective marketing and advertising strategies.
- Experience with financial management and budgeting.
