Job Title: Workforce Program Assistant

Commonpoint Queens is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Workforce Program Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our Adult Workforce team, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients in achieving their education and employment goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Database Management: Manage, build, and maintain various office databases for the Adult Workforce team, compile client demographics, and organize and maintain documentation.
  • Client Support: Work closely with senior directors, employment coordinators, and intake staff to assist in the process of conducting intakes, entering client demographics, collecting documentation.
  • Communication: Assist in the communication with clients to help participants secure and maintain viable and long-lasting employment.
  • Data Entry: Enter critical information into PST, track participant demographics and retention data.
  • Workshops and Seminars: Assist in the management and facilitation of workshops and professional development seminars.
  • Reporting: Complete basic reporting requirements, including progress notes and client tracking; ensure data entry is completed by deadline dates as assigned.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with Adult Workforce staff to coordinate social services referrals and generate ideas to help clients achieve their education and employment goals.
  • Professional Development: Attend trainings and staff meetings, as required.
Qualifications:
  • Digital Literacy: Digitally fluent in Microsoft Office, G-Suite applications, and video-conferencing software.
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in working with adult workforce, database management, and programming assistance.
  • Education: High school, GED, or HSE diploma.
  • Availability: Be able to work some evenings and weekends.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to closely collaborate with colleagues and partners to work as part of a team to promote successful outcomes for Commonpoint clients.
  • Adaptability: Exceptional capacity to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to continuous changes in curriculum to stay current in the industry.
