Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (Hospital-Based) is a skilled professional responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role requires a strong foundation in nursing practice, leadership, and professional development.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver safe, optimal patient-centered care by utilizing the nursing process and nursing practice standards.
  • Utilize leadership competencies to coordinate patient care and communicate effectively with the care team.
  • Develop professionally as a life-long learner, staying up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and UofL Health quality model.
  • Evaluate care based on evidence, patient safety goals, and quality outcomes.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
  • Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Current KY RN licensure or compact license with privileges to work in Kentucky.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications may be required for specific clinical areas.
