Job Title: Professional Development Manager - Cardiac Medicine/Surgery

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional Development Manager to join our team in Brighton, MA.

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, leading the development and implementation of programs for staff development, education, research, quality, and evidence-based practice in Cardiac Medicine and Surgery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, coordinate, and implement programs for staff development, education, research, quality, and evidence-based practice.
  • Partner with Nurse Directors in Cardiac Medicine and Surgery, be accountable for hiring and evaluating staff performance, and actively participate in the budgetary process.
  • Promote an environment that facilitates professional growth and role competence, with a concentrated focus on specialty proficiency and regulatory compliance with patient- and family-centered goals.
  • Serve as a highly visible leader and role model in the development/obtainment of hospital unit and division mission and goals and embrace the concept of change and lead staff through the change process as evidenced by adoption of new behaviors or processes and improved outcome measures.
  • Full Time/ 40 Hours/ BWH Center for Nursing Excellence Boston
Requirements:
  • MSN (or) MS with a major in Nursing (or) DNP (or) PhD with a major in Nursing (or) a BSN with a Master's degree in a related field, required.
  • 5 years or greater of Cardiovascular / Vascular nursing experience required.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with the BWH professional community at large.
  • Expertise in evidence-based practice, writing, research and practice development.
  • Expertise in leading training and education programs.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft office required and Epic skills preferred.
