Job Title: Professional Development Leader - Cardiac Medicine & Surgery

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional Development Leader to join our team in Cardiac Medicine and Surgery. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and implementing programs for staff development, education, research, quality, and evidence-based practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with Nurse Directors in Cardiac Medicine and Surgery to develop and implement programs that enhance staff competence and promote a culture of excellence.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for professional development and education.
  • Design and deliver training programs that meet the needs of our staff and promote a culture of continuous learning.
  • Collaborate with interprofessional teams to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Stay current with clinical research and best practices in cardiac medicine and surgery to inform program development and implementation.
Requirements:
  • MSN or MS with a major in Nursing or related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in cardiovascular/vascular nursing with a focus on professional development and education.
  • Expertise in evidence-based practice, writing, research, and practice development.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with the BWH professional community at large.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office required and Epic skills preferred.
Working Conditions:
  • Nights and weekends may be required.
  • Works in office and patient care environments that require teamwork and cooperation.
