THE ROLE:

Are you looking for a kitchen position that offers a balanced schedule without late nights or weekends? At Lakeshirts, our onsite cafeteria and coffee shop, 'Brew 84', play a vital role in ensuring our team members enjoy delicious meals throughout the day.

As a part of our kitchen staff, you will work under the guidance of the Kitchen Supervisor, assisting in the preparation and serving of breakfast and lunch, along with those essential snacks that keep everyone energized. Your responsibilities will include managing transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring our meals reflect our commitment to exceptional service.

YOUR DAILY TASKS:

  • Prepare and serve meals to team members
  • Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate financial records
  • Perform general kitchen duties, including cleaning and dishwashing
  • Take beverage orders and serve a variety of drinks
  • Assist in packaging our specialty coffee blends
  • Support the Kitchen Supervisor in various tasks as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in food preparation areas
  • Adhere to safety protocols and resolve any safety concerns promptly
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about food and enjoy working with people. Key qualifications include:
  • Food Service Certificate is a plus, but not mandatory
  • Familiarity with institutional kitchen equipment is preferred
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to handle various temperatures in a kitchen environment
  • Physical capability to lift and carry heavy items
  • Team-oriented mindset
  • Reliability and the ability to follow directions
  • Capacity to perform repetitive tasks over extended periods
  • Ability to stand for long hours
  • Previous experience in food production is beneficial, but not required
