Trust and Estate Attorney

We are seeking a highly skilled Trust and Estate Attorney to join our team at Jobot. As a Trust and Estate Attorney, you will provide comprehensive legal counsel and support on a broad range of trust and estate matters, including managing conservatorships, probate administration, and tax planning.

• Provide Sophisticated Tax Planning and Estate Administration Services: Offer expert advice on tax implications related to estate planning and wealth transfer, including gift tax, estate tax, and generation-skipping transfer tax.
• Prepare and Review Legal Documents: Prepare and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives for high net worth individuals and families.
• Represent Clients in Probate Court Proceedings: Represent clients in probate court proceedings, conservatorships, and trust litigations.
• Collaborate with Financial Advisors and Accountants: Work with financial advisors and accountants to develop comprehensive estate plans.
• Stay Up-to-Date with Changes in Tax and Trust Laws: Stay current with changes in tax and trust laws to ensure compliance and provide accurate advice to clients.

• JD from an Accredited Law School: Possess a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• LLM in Tax (Preferred): Hold an LLM in Tax or be willing to obtain one.
• 5+ Years of Experience in Trusts and Estates Law: Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in trusts and estates law, with a focus on high net worth individuals.
• Extensive Knowledge of Probate Administration and Tax Planning: Possess extensive knowledge of probate administration, conservatorships, and tax planning.
• Exceptional Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrate exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong Interpersonal Skills: Show strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients, colleagues, and other professionals.
• Discretion and Confidentiality: Demonstrate a high level of discretion and confidentiality for handling sensitive information.
• State Bar Admission: Be admitted to the state bar and in good standing.
