Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Claims Examiner I to join our team at Reliance Matrix. As a Claims Examiner I, you will be responsible for analyzing information to make claim decisions and payments on LTD, Voluntary disability, and Waiver of Premium claims.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and investigate disability claims by gathering pertinent data to analyze the claim.
  • Adjudicate claims accurately and fairly in accordance with the contract, claim policies and procedures, and state and federal regulations.
  • Utilize medical and risk resources to make informed decisions.
  • Conduct in-depth pre-existing condition or contestable investigations as needed.
  • Calculate benefit payments and develop and maintain online claim data.
  • Provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • Ability to analyze complex information and make informed decisions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of insurance policies and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
