The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering and possess strong communication skills, mechanical aptitude, and a safety focus. The primary responsibilities will be to assist in the performance, collection, and analysis of various types of emissions from industrial facilities while maintaining the highest standards of safety, environmental, and ethical practices.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct on-site testing of materials, processes, and pollution sources.
- Prepare equipment and supplies for testing programs.
- Maintain and calibrate testing equipment and laboratory instruments.
- Ensure testing procedures follow established methods.
- Provide accurate and complete field data and lab analysis for report generation.
- Develop skills and assist in preparing standard solutions and reagents for laboratory operations.
- Perform routine analyses of samples for chemical parameters.
- Maintain quality control/quality assurance records and data.
- Bachelor's degree in a science-related field, Chemistry or Engineering preferred.
- Strong communication skills, mechanical aptitude, and safety focus.
- Willingness to travel (approximately 75% of time in the field with overnight travel).
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights.
- Computer skills (light typing, data entry, spreadsheet analysis).
- Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and ability to obtain a DOT medical certificate.
- Ability to pass initial drug screening and continuing random drug checks.
