Job Overview:

The Department of Computing Technology within the School of Computer Science at Marist College is seeking applications for adjunct faculty roles for the upcoming academic year.


Essential Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related discipline. Preference will be given to those with prior teaching experience. Demonstrated teaching experience is crucial, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

Preferred candidates should have proficiency in one or more of the following domains: software engineering and object-oriented programming, data communications and networking, systems analysis and design, information technology management, and information systems architecture and policy. Experience in industry or consulting, as well as online teaching experience, is advantageous.

Given the diverse nature of our student body, the ability to effectively engage in a multicultural environment is highly valued.

Additionally, skills in web programming, cybersecurity, machine learning, and data science are preferred.

The Department of Computing Technology, comprised of faculty from both Computer Science and Information Technology & Systems, offers a rigorous curriculum and access to cutting-edge equipment.

Our research initiatives are supported by our Cyber Security Operations Center, the Enterprise Computing Research Lab, the Marist-IBM Joint Study, our Institute for Data Center Professionals, and the New York State Cloud Computing and Analytics Center.
