With 45+ years of experience worldwide, Nova specializes in hydrant fueling, waterfront, electrical, and utility military construction projects for the Department of Defense and Department of Energy.

As a laborer, you will assist skilled craft workers in performing their assigned duties, ensuring the highest level of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of tasks involving dexterous use of hands and tools.
  • Mop, brush, or spread paint or bituminous compounds over surfaces and apply caulking compound by hand or with a caulking gun.
  • Lift, carry, and hold building materials and supplies, level earth to fine grade using a pick and shovel, and measure distances from grade stakes.
  • Grind, sand, and polish surfaces such as concrete or wood.
  • Clean tools, equipment, materials, and work areas.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Work harmoniously, cooperatively, and courteously with others at all times.

Requirements:

  • Follow specific instructions and perform a variety of duties that change often.
  • Repeat tasks of short duration according to set procedures.
  • Work within a standard of accuracy.
  • Evaluate information using measurable standards.
  • Physically, be able to stand and walk for long periods, use arms and hands to reach for handles and manipulate objects, lift and carry materials weighing 100 pounds, climb up and down ladders, scaffolding, and other objects, and carry tools and equipment.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
