About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Underwriting Research to join our team at USAA. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with federal flood and state residual market regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with federal flood and state residual market regulations.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to meet business needs.
  • Develop and manage flood insurance and residual market processes and programs.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor and analyze the regulatory and legislative landscape to identify potential risks and opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of related experience.
  • 8 years of experience in Property & Casualty, Project Management, Process Engineering, Business Process or Risk Management.
  • 3 years of direct team lead or management experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of relevant industry practices, trends, and regulatory requirements.
