Job Title: Payroll / HRIS Specialist

Lycoming College is seeking a highly skilled Payroll / HRIS Specialist to join our Human Resources team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of regular and special payrolls, as well as tax reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and audit biweekly and monthly payroll
  • Prepare deposits for federal, state, and local payroll taxes
  • Prepare and complete the annual W-2 form process
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for payroll processes
  • Complete the Annual ACA reporting
  • Coordinate and respond to unemployment claims in conjunction with other HR staff members
  • Serve as the primary administrator of the HRIS system
  • Assist in the College's rental property coordination
Requirements:
  • Associate degree or bachelor's preferred
  • 2-5 years of payroll and HRIS administration experience, or a combination of relevant HR and payroll experience
  • Prior experience working with Colleague, Ellucian, and/or Kronos systems strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of payroll and tax reporting procedures, including ACA reporting and W-2 generation
  • Strong understanding of and the ability to navigate human resources information systems, including running reports and generating queries
