Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a skilled Gastroenterology Registered Nurse to join our team at The Corvallis Clinic, part of the Optum family of businesses. As a leading clinic in Oregon's mid-Willamette Valley, we serve over a quarter-million people with offices in Corvallis, Albany, and Philomath.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in maintaining a culture that aligns with the Service and Behavioral Standards document.
  • Provide nursing care according to the nursing process: assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Direct patient flow and prepare patients for exams.
  • Facilitate collection of necessary information and accurately record pertinent details in the Electronic Medical Record.
  • Triage patient phone calls and ensure timely callbacks and prescription refills.
  • Assist providers with procedures and maintain asepsis.
  • Proactively monitor physician schedules for accuracy.
  • Improve the quality of care through continuing education and self-evaluation.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing.
  • Current unencumbered State of Oregon license as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to complete BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience in an acute care hospital and/or individual provider's office or clinic setting.
  • Evidence of working knowledge of the nursing process.
  • Ability to work well with providers, clinical staff, and patients.
