Under the direct leadership of the Director, Physical Plant Medical Center, the Maintenance Technician II will implement the Facilities' Department mission and goals by delivering general maintenance services to UK HealthCare Hospital facilities in compliance with The Joint Commission Standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for completing building maintenance repairs within a timely manner, troubleshooting and repairing plumbing fixtures, HVAC systems, and electrical systems.
This is a full-time position that requires the ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairs and replacements of plumbing fixtures, HVAC systems, and electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair complex issues with plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems.
- Ensure all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner, meeting or exceeding departmental standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on industry best practices.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and relevant experience in maintenance and repair. A background in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems is preferred.
