Job Summary

As an Asset Management Analyst at the New York Power Authority, you will play a critical role in the daily management and coordination of our overall operations. Your responsibilities will include overseeing and monitoring operational performance, directing the preparation of operating budgets and proposals, and analyzing and approving operational investments that meet the organization's business needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and track contract costs associated with long-term maintenance contracts.
  • Prepare and analyze daily progress reports and project summaries, and develop solutions to adjust plans and timelines as needed.
  • Manage corporate Intranet web page content and format for the team.
  • Prepare spreadsheets, text documents, graphs, and templates as requested.
  • Assist with special projects and updating the Asset Management manual.
Requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and able to acquire new technological skills as needed.
  • Computer skills in programming, SAP, and reporting, with a preferred understanding of the Maximo system.
  • Basic problem-solving skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong time-management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with good presentation skills.
  • Ability to operate in a safe and orderly manner while working with contractors or site staff.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-service attitude and team-oriented spirit.
  • Ability to take direction from multiple people and perform highly varied tasks.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience in a project coordination role in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment.
  • Some experience at a Utility working in the area of Maximo systems preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Significant travel expected (25% - 45% depending on responsibilities), primarily within NY State to NYPA owned facilities.
  • Up to 25% travel primarily within NY State.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to travel for meetings and project coordination.
  • Availability to attend meetings outside of normal business hours.
Compensation and Benefits
The New York Power Authority offers competitive compensation and benefits, including a salary range of $79,110 - $118,670, based on relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from diverse candidates.
