Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Horizontal Directional Drill Crew Member to join our team at Utility Service Contractors, Inc. The ideal candidate will have experience in either Locating or Drilling and possess a strong knowledge of underground utilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Horizontal Directional Drill equipment to drill bore paths
  • Assist in potholing and remediation activities
  • Set up and operate equipment, including drills, water tanks, and grounding systems
  • Drive equipment to job sites and communicate with locators/leads via radio
  • Conduct post-job quality checks and maintain accurate records
  • Oversee laborers and/or crew members' work and monitor time usage
  • Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections, and required paperwork
  • Comply with safety procedures and company policies
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience in Horizontal Directional Drilling
  • Strong knowledge of underground utilities and Ditch Witch equipment
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A, with airbrake endorsement and tanker endorsement)
  • Ability to read and comprehend quality/safety policies and procedures
  • Self-motivated, safety, quality, and production-minded
