SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER

Requirements / Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

• Proficient in computer applications

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities

• Minimum of 15 years of relevant industry experience

Purpose
To oversee and facilitate project management efforts, ensuring that projects are completed within specified timelines and budgetary limits. To support effective communication with clients and consultants while identifying potential business prospects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage Project Managers and Site Agents, monitoring site progress and productivity

• Coordinate the allocation and movement of company resources to optimize utilization and efficiency

• Ensure adherence to the Company Management System, Quality, and Safety protocols for each contract

• Engage with consultants and clients on technical, contractual, and commercial issues

• Assist in the preparation of resource schedules and compare them with tender evaluations

• Inform the Commercial Manager about subcontracting needs

• Monitor and control overtime expenditures

• Initiate cost/value comparisons and maintain regular updates

• Review and authorize material requisitions for projects

• Identify and interview candidates for site construction roles

• Recognize potential commercial opportunities both on-site and off-site

• Foster a positive work environment among site and office staff to maintain morale and teamwork

• Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure timely resolution of customer complaints and implement necessary corrective actions

Internal / External Communications
• Daily interactions with Project Managers and representatives from clients/consultants. Externally with suppliers, vendors, and government officials.

Special Requirements / Features
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce.
