About the Opportunity:
Our client, a well-established non-profit organization based in Bethesda, is seeking an experienced AP Specialist to join their team. This is a temporary position with potential for permanence.
Overview of the Role:
- The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in accounts payable, with proficiency in MS Excel and international payment processing.
- Responsibilities include reviewing invoices, making copies, and sending them to relevant departments, as well as reviewing check requests, date-stamping, and invoices.
- The successful candidate will also match invoices and determine account coding, input vendor invoices into the system, balance and approve batches, post to the AP system, review aging, and print reports.
- Additional duties include generating checks according to issuing guidelines, recording manual checks daily, preparing check vouchers for approval, addressing employee and vendor inquiries regarding payments, and reconciling vendor accounts.
- The role also involves reviewing and processing employee expense reports.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Applicants should be extremely organized, able to multitask effectively, and attentive to detail.
- Detailed orientation and ability to work independently are essential.
- A strong understanding of AP procedures, MS Excel skills, and experience with international payments are highly desirable.

- This hybrid role offers a competitive hourly rate of $27-31, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a laptop provided.
